Our Story
Established 2019
Located on Nugent Orchards, a working family fruit farm in Northern Michigan, The Cherry Barn Wedding Venue came about as a new way to utilize the family property.
In 2018, our nephew and his wife decided that they wanted to use the farm for their wedding, and one of our sweet cherry barns for their reception. With the beautiful backdrop of the family farm, their guests suggested to us that we should think about offering this space to the public. This opened our eyes to a brand new opportunity for our property as a venue for weddings and other special events.
So beginning in 2019, we created The Cherry Barn: a 3-season wedding venue where couples can celebrate one of the most special days of their lives, while also giving them the opportunity to experience all that Nugent Orchards has to offer.
Surrounded on all sides by beautiful orchard views, and with a rustic clear roof, The Cherry Barn provides a gorgeous backdrop for your celebration. Whether your ceremony includes the white blossoms in the spring, the gorgeous red cherries in the summer, or the crisp smell of apples in the fall, The Cherry Barn will provide you and yours with the accommodations to enjoy all our farm has to offer. We are so very humbled to offer our property to you, and we hope you fall in love with it just as we have.
